Everyone knows I love me some mixtapes. Half my iTunes selection is mixtapes and remixes, I can’t get enough. Well here is one that everyone will love. It’s Kanye’s Power remix by Swizz Beatz feat. Jay-Z. Hova kills it on this one and then Yeezy decides to show why everyone loved him in the first place. It’s a great track. Check it out.

I was passed a link to Fuel TV’s new spots and I love them.  First, I love Fuel TV’s logo anyway.  Every time I’m at Wahoo’s Fish Taco’s in town they have the action sports channel on and I can’t turn away, sometimes watching too long! Anyone that really knows me knows I love hip-hop and have a mean shoe fetish.  Well tonight it’s going down.  A great local artist will be celebrating the release of his latest EP “Robot Radio” tonight at Beauty Bar.  Knuckle Rumbler Presents: The Robot Parade. I was turned on to Zeale by one of my very best friends Bryan probably 3 or 4 years ago and was instantly hooked.  He’s a great lyricist with a unique sound and knows how to command a stage.  From watching him freestyle in Barcelona (the club, not the city), to the infamous Tuesday nights at Lucky Lounge when he played with Boombox, this kid has killed the stage every chance he gets.

But don’t sleep on him like he’s just another local rapper.  Zeale’s been recognized by many industry greats and has opened for the likes of Lil Wayne, KRS-One and Jason Mraz.  But don’t take my word for it.  Check out a live performance of one of his new songs he did on the Bobby Bones show.

Aston Martin, known for speed and big V12, gas guzzling, road chewing, and vision blurring engines. These super luxurious fine leather wrapped vehicles are the envy of many and can make your heart stop as you watch one drive by. Beautiful. But now, trying to Aston Martin has a concept for a commuter car similar to the Smart Car, called the Cygnet. I can only guess the market is for Hollywood elite who want to pretend to be environmentally conscious.

That’s too much for me.

Instead, I’d rather have one of these babies. With a 7.8 litre V12 engine, this thing has some power. And with only 77 hand build models with a price tag of £1.25 million ($ 1,800,000) only a few will be able to own a piece of elegance.

Now Nike has approached Mr. Cartoon, tattoo and graffiti artist, as a designer for the USA True Colors sportswear collection. Check out the video below with Mr. Cartoon talking about inspiration for the logo and mascot he created. Nike Sportswear will be holding events to launch the collection in New York, Boston, and Chicago next week. Come out to see the collection and Mister Cartoon in action.

Love to hear your thoughts.

I love music. All kinds of music. I think you’re cheating your self if you only listen to certain types. As they say “Music tames the savage beast.” Well, I have to agree. Very few things evoke a more emotional response in humans than music. We nod our heads, feel it in our chest and air guitar right along with whatever is playing.

That’s why I enjoy this image so much. Music is so personal and emotional that album covers are a graphical representation of that emotion. I encourage you to click on the image and see it full size to take in all its glory.

This creepy office robot image comes from a fan that sits in my office. When the useless light is turned on, it looks as if it’s watching you. Especially, when the fan oscilates.

This was done entirely on my iPhone. I took the picture with a great app called Hipstamatic. Photo editing was done with the Photoshop application and this was even posted using an iPhone app.

Pretty crazy what technology has become. I think this image serves as a reminder of what it CAN become. (insert creepy ghost laugh)
